Plaza Premium Group and Saudia open a new lounge at London Heathrow
Airport hospitality experiences firm Plaza Premium Group formally announced the opening of a brand-new state-of-the-art airline lounge project developed for Saudia Airlines, at Terminal 4 of London Heathrow Airport. This new lounge symbolises an important milestone in the company’s global expansion and was exclusively designed for the use of First and Business Class guests, elevating their pre-flight time with a uniquely tailored lounge experience. Air Canada celebrates resumption of London Heathrow to Ottawa flights
Air Canada, Canada’s largest airline and flag carrier, took to the skies with its newest route, relaunching flights between London Heathrow and Ottawa.The new international service heralds a huge milestone, not only for Air Canada, but also for UK-Canada ties, being the only direct flight between the UK and Canada’s capital city. The first flight, AC889, departed Heathrow at 14:05 yesterday afternoon, following a small celebration at Heathrow’s Terminal 2, before touching down in Ottawa at 16:25 local time. This summer, flights will operate four times per week, departing London each Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoon, arriving into the Ontarian city in just over seven hours*. On the return, flights depart Ottawa each Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evening, before arriving into the British capital the next morning. Customers looking to cross the Atlantic in style can benefit from this new service until 25 October 2025, with flights operated by the airline’s state-of-the-art 787-9 Dreamliner fleet, featuring lie-flat seats in Business Class, and spacious Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Lufthansa unveils modern new lounge at London Heathrow Airport
On 21 January 2025, Lufthansa will re-open its new and improved passenger lounge at London Heathrow Airport. Located in Terminal 2, South Level, Level 5, the Senator and Business Lounge, which has been closed for renovations since October 2024, will now offer passengers an elevated travel experience. The elegantly refurbished lounge boasts a stylish modern design, with substantial upgrades to flooring, lighting, and furnishings. Workspaces have been reimagined with the addition of chain curtains to enhance zoning and privacy. In the Business area of the lounge, highlights include two private phone booths with upgraded wall panels for better acoustics. The Senator section of the lounge has also seen significant improvements, with redesigned workspaces, enhanced seating, and a new locally inspired design of elements and decoration. Sven Thaler, Senior Director Sales Northern Europe comments, “We are delighted to reopen our refurbished lounge in a prime location just after the security checkpoint. New Route connecting Rimini’s Fellini Airport and London Heathrow from May 2025
Federico Fellini International Airport UK passengers will be able to fly to Rimini’s Fellini Airport from London Heathrow on British Airways three times per week, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays. Federico Fellini International announces that British Airways will launch three weekly flights between London Heathrow and Rimini, starting May 15 and running until September 27. The flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays, departing London at 3:20 PM (Monday), 4:00 PM (Tuesday), and 3:45 PM (Saturday), and departing Rimini at 7:40 PM (Monday), 8:15 PM (Tuesday), and 8:00 PM (Saturday). “This is an important milestone for the Federico Fellini International Airport,” said Leonardo Corbucci, CEO of AIRiminum 2014, the company managing Rimini Airport. “Welcoming British Airways, one of the world’s leading airlines, is a testament to the success of our strategic development efforts. Gulf Air celebrates the launch of daily flights to Singapore at London Heathrow
Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, celebrated the launch of its new daily flights to Singapore via Bahrain on Sunday 27 October 2024. Passengers on the inaugural daily flight were treated to cupcakes and celebrations at the boarding gate before the Boeing 787 Dreamliner departed for Bahrain. Daily flights from London Heathrow depart at 09:30am, arriving into Singapore at 12:30pm the following day. Flights from Manchester depart at 10:25am, operating five times per week between Wednesday and Sunday, and arriving in Singapore at 12:30pm the following day. Gulf Air flights depart Singapore daily at 20:25, arriving separately into both London Heathrow and Manchester at 06:35am the following morning. Return flights from London Heathrow start from £543 in economy and £2,030 in Falcon Gold Class and, from Manchester, fares start from £557 in economy and £2,030 in Falcon Gold.
Vietnam Airlines resumes daily nonstop flights from London Heathrow
Vietnam flag-carrier Vietnam Airlines resumes daily flight frequencies from London Heathrow to Vietnam this winter, with daily nonstop services to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. The service resumed operations on Monday, 28th October. The APEX five star-rated airline will operate four flights per week to Hanoi and three per week to Ho Chi Minh City, all on next-gen Boeing B787-9 Dreamliners. Vietnam Airlines offers the UK’s only nonstop flights to Vietnam, operating from Heathrow Terminal 4. The flights are carefully scheduled to offer convenient overnight journeys in both directions, with onward connections via Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to multiple destinations throughout Vietnam, Asia, and Australasia, including Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, China, South Korea, Japan, and Australia.

Air India to operate non-stop flights between Bengaluru and London Heathrow from 27 October
Air India has announced it will start daily, non-stop services between Bengaluru and London Heathrow from 27 October 2024, thus connecting London Heathrow to all three hubs of Air India in India. The new flights will replace Air India’s currently served Bengaluru-London Gatwick route and increase the frequency between Bengaluru and London from 5x weekly to 7x weekly. The non-stop service, to be operated using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with 18 flat beds in Business class and 238 spacious seats in Economy, will add capacity to London Heathrow by 3,584 seats a week, inbound and outbound. Air India currently operates 31x weekly to London Heathrow from Delhi and Mumbai. Air India will continue to operate 12x weekly flights to London Gatwick from four Indian cities, namely Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, and Kochi.
