Spring Hotels has unveiled major investment plans for its Tenerife properties, Cleopatra Palace and Mediterranean Palace, at WTM London 2026. The group plans to reposition Cleopatra Palace as a luxury destination focused on wellness and lifestyle experiences. The development will include what is expected to become Tenerife's largest gym. Meanwhile, Mediterranean Palace will introduce new Family Suites to provide more space and privacy at a lower cost.
Located on Tenerife's Golden Mile, Cleopatra Palace will undergo a major renovation featuring contemporary interiors, natural materials and earthy tones. The hotel will add swim-up accommodation, dedicated family areas and wellness facilities, including hyperbaric chambers and yoga sessions. Guests can also enjoy beach club-style social spaces, a rooftop terrace and premium dining options.
At Mediterranean Palace, the group will strengthen its family offering by introducing a new Family Suite concept. Families can book two connecting rooms as one unit, giving them two bedrooms and bathrooms at a lower price. In addition, the hotel will launch a new Splash Zone and convert its volleyball court into a children's activity area.
The investments follow a strong year for Spring Hotels, which reported a 19% increase in revenue and a 15% rise in overnight stays.
Jo Robinson, Chief Sales Officer at Spring Hotels, said: “With Cleopatra Palace, we have an opportunity to create something quite different, with a five-star experience that is designed for every mood and centred around wellness, recovery and lifestyle.”
Through these developments, Spring Hotels aims to strengthen its Tenerife portfolio, attract a wider range of travellers and enhance the guest experience across both properties.
