The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted the Amazing Thai Night in Cannes 2026 on 14 May, as part of its initiative to position Thailand as a premier global film destination. The event, held at Annex Beach, was part of TAT's "Amazing Location Thailand the Story Continues: From Scene to Scenic Journeys" campaign, aiming to boost Thailand's film tourism by 2027.

The evening brought together international filmmakers, media professionals, and industry leaders, showcasing Thailand's potential as a film and healing destination. TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool stated, "Through Amazing Thai Night in Cannes 2026, TAT is presenting Thailand as a place where storytelling moves seamlessly from screen to journey."

Krabi Province was highlighted as a pilot destination, demonstrating how film locations can evolve into immersive visitor experiences. Known for its stunning landscapes, Krabi has hosted major productions like *Jurassic World: Rebirth* and *Fast and Furious 9*, enhancing its reputation as a creative and nature-based hub.

The event was part of a broader presence at the Cannes Film Festival, including the Thailand Pavilion, which featured seminars, media briefings, and networking events. The pavilion was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister Suphajee Suthumpun on 13 May.

Looking forward, TAT plans to expand promotional content and organise familiarisation trips and film talks to further promote Thailand's film locations. The country aims to generate $280 million (10 billion Baht) in film production revenue by 2027, supported by incentives like cash rebates for qualifying productions
