Resorts World Sentosa breaks ground for a new waterfront development
Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) held a formal groundbreaking ceremony for its highly anticipated new waterfront lifestyle development on Friday, 15th November. The event featured a symbolic shovel celebration officiated by Singapore’s minister of state for trade and industry, and culture, community, and youth Alvin Tan, as well as several government officials, distinguished guests, and executives from RWS and China Metallurgical Group Corporation. Marking this momentous milestone, the VIPs shovelled soil into pots containing Hopea odorata that belong to the family of Dipterocarp, a species native to Singapore. These saplings will be cared for and nurtured in a nursery until the new outdoor oasis is ready to receive them. The symbolic cultivation of the Hopea odorata reflects RWS' commitment to sustainable growth, preserving nature, and the delivering of premium experiences that will define the new development. Redefining the Singaporean luxury lifestyle scene Targeted to open by 2030, the spectacular waterfront development is set to redefine luxury and lifestyle for both new and returning guests. A defining feature of the new RWS, this transformation will rejuvenate the Greater Southern Waterfront and further strengthen its appeal as a premium lifestyle destination resort for locals and tourists. The new waterfront development will feature a stunning waterfront promenade, a four-storey world-class retail and dining podium with entertainment offerings, as well as two new luxury hotels featuring 700 keys. Designed by the award-winning architectural firm, Benoy, the development will also include an immersive, experiential mountain trail. All meats are sourced from UAE Halal suppliers with no pork served onboard. Guests can make pre-advanced appointments to have the crew of the same gender attend to the guests for selected onboard services such as the Spa.
Resorts World Cruises returns to Taiwan for a second year
Popular demand resulted in the return of Resorts World Cruises to Taiwan for a second year on 12 July. The route kicked off with Resorts World One launching from Keelung on 12 July. To celebrate the ship’s maiden voyage from Keelung, Resorts World Cruises’ management, including president Michael Goh, vice-president of sales Victoria Hsu, and Resorts World One captain Johan Bohman, welcomed Taiwan International Ports Corporation vice-president of administration Lu Zhan You to officiate the first sailing. This first-ever outing saw a sold-out cruise with over 3,600 passengers and crew. Goh said of the launch: “We have gone to great lengths to make each deployment special and to further customise our offerings for the local market to enhance the overall experience for our passengers from ship to shore.” Into Japanese waters During its three-month deployment, the vessel will offer 24 sailings, departing twice a week from 12 July to 22 September 2024. These roundtrip cruises will visit Kyushu and Okinawa in Japan. Passengers can choose from the two-night Okinawa Weekend Getaway Cruise, departing every Friday, and the five-night cruises that every Sunday from Keelung to destinations including Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Sasebo, Nagasaki, Naha, Miyakojima, Ishigaki, and Motobu. Selected two- and four-night Okinawa cruises will also be available from Kaohsiung starting 18 August.

Resorts World Cruises debuts in Singapore with Genting Dream
