New Routes and Relaxed Visas Fuel Asia-Pacific Travel Growth: PATA
Representative Image The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) gathered insights from members attending WTM 2025, where the region was very much in the spotlight. Despite hints of a short-term slowdown from Europe, optimism prevailed throughout the show, fuelled by new air routes, relaxed visa policies, and the continued diversification of Asia’s tourism offering. PATA member Sandra Kwan, UK Trade Sales and Marketing Manager for the Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau (OCVB), reported strong engagement throughout the event. “Strong interest in Okinawa was evident, we connected with new travel companies, some of whom were unfamiliar with the prefecture and were pleasantly surprised by its diverse offerings beyond beaches, as well as its convenient connections to nearby destinations such as Taiwan, South Korea, and China.” Kwan noted that operators were keen to feature Okinawa more prominently within Japan itineraries. Gavin Dixon, PATA Committee member and Product Manager Africa/Asia at Freedom Holidays, highlighted that Sabah tourism is experiencing a strong peak period for arrivals, particularly in September. “We discussed the ongoing FCDO advisory against travelling to the north and east coast islands (e.g. Selingan Island). There is hope that the British embassy will send a delegation to evaluate the safety of the area, along the lines of a similar trip that took place to a different coast in 2024, although nothing is confirmed.” Dixon added that discussions with the Vietnam Tourist Board centred on the potential reopening of a UK office in 2026. “Given that the UK is their top European source market, the trade could benefit from having someone to promote the destination. There are lots of new and exciting developments, such as Bhaya Cruises who launched a new luxury boat, ‘Soul’ this summer which has a wellness focus, signalling a move towards more contemporary travel in Vietnam.” There is an overall feeling that after 3 years of unprecedented growth from Europe/UK, the last 3 months have slowed. Sam Collins, PATA Committee member and Product Manager at Best at Travel has observed that shift in momentum. “Despite this, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos reported steady interest, supported by new routes and visa-free entry for UK travellers. Cambodia’s strong presence at WTM inspired confidence in further growth for 2026.” Airlift to Asia continues to expand significantly. Norse Atlantic launched new routes from London Gatwick and Manchester to Bangkok from October 26, 2025. British Airways has boosted capacity from London Gatwick to Bangkok, alongside its daily London Heathrow flights to Kuala Lumpur and twice-daily service to Tokyo Haneda. Virgin Atlantic recently announced the first-ever direct flight from London Heathrow to Phuket, commencing October 2026. Cathay Pacific has enhanced its premium experience with the new “Aria Suite” business class on its London–Hong Kong route, while London Gatwick further strengthens Asian connectivity with services to Singapore, Shanghai, and Baku. Confidence was expressed by Malaysia, notable Sarawak and Sabah, both citing strong UK demand and forecasts for continued expansion. Helen Wheat, PATA Committee member and Destination Manager for Travelbag, summed up the show’s energy: “5 years post pandemic, and it’s starting to feel as though WTM London is back in business with bustling halls and full meeting schedules. This year's show offered a wide range of suppliers from across the Pacific-Asia region and it was great to see secondary destinations investing in WTM with larger stands.” Wheat also praised the Philippines for its stand out presence. “It is still noticeable that some major players are no longer supporting the show (such as Malaysia Tourism) and the ownership falls to DMCs and hoteliers to pick up the baton.” Notably, Wheat commented “...partnerships and flexibility remain key as budgets tighten globally - wiggle room from both sides of the table are required in order to nurture mutually beneficial relationships to grow travel from the UK.” In summary, WTM 2025 was a success for Pacific Asia with great destination representation that showcased the region's strengths and diversity. There is a clear appetite for authentic, sustainable and experience-rich travel. There are no signs of tourism slowing with the development of new hotels, products, tours and airline routes on the horizon for 2026 and beyond.
Tourism Authority of Thailand welcomes United Airlines’ inaugural LAX-BKK flight
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) welcomed United Airlines’ inaugural flight from Los Angeles to Bangkok on Sunday, 26th October. This flight marks United’s return to Thailand after an 11-year-long hiatus, effectively restoring connectivity between the two nations. A special welcome ceremony took place at Suvarnabhumi Airport, where the aircraft was greeted with a traditional water salute. The event was graced by US ambassador to Thailand Robert F Godec, TAT governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool, United’s managing director for international sales Marcel Fuchs, Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) deputy director-general Sarun Benjanirat and Airports of Thailand Advisor 10 Pranuengnuch Bamphensamai. The inaugural flight UA 820 departed Los Angeles at 23.15 hrs on 24 October and arrived in Bangkok at 11.25 hrs on 26 October (via Hong Kong). The return flight UA 821 departs Bangkok daily at 16.55 hrs and arrives in Los Angeles at 20.25 hrs on the same day, providing smooth transit through Hong Kong. A daily service Operated daily via Hong Kong, the route enhances travel convenience for North American travellers while reaffirming Bangkok’s position as a leading gateway to Asia and a major hub for long-haul travel. The stop in Hong Kong will also allow customers from United’s San Francisco to Hong Kong flights to connect seamlessly onwards to Bangkok. United’s Los Angeles and San Francisco hubs offer connections to more than 75 destinations throughout the Americas. United Airlines’ daily service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Bangkok (BKK) operates with a Boeing 787–9 Dreamliner, offering 257 seats across Polaris Business Class, Premium Plus, and Economy. The resumption of the United Airlines service coincides with the continued growth of long-haul arrivals from North America, supported also by the existing non-stop Vancouver–Bangkok route operated by Air Canada. It also aligns with a renewed international spotlight on Bangkok, following major productions such as The White Lotus Season 3, which has further boosted global interest in Thai culture, lifestyle, and hospitality. Together, these connections reflect the rising demand for travel to Thailand and reaffirm the country’s position as a top global destination renowned for its warmth, creativity, and world-class experiences. A milestone in global connectivity At the ceremony, Kiatphaibool remarked: “The return of United Airlines marks a significant milestone in the long-standing friendship between Thailand and the United States. This new service not only strengthens bilateral tourism and economic ties but also responds to the growing interest among American travellers seeking meaningful experiences in Thailand.” The United Airlines inaugural flight to Thailand represents the first US carrier to resume service to Bangkok since 2014, following the suspension of operations by both United Airlines and Delta Air Lines. This achievement highlights Thailand’s strong appeal as a preferred destination for international travellers and demonstrates the market’s confidence in the country’s tourism potential. Kiatphaibool added: “We are pleased to welcome United Airlines back to Thailand. This route enhances connectivity from the US West Coast and complements the increasing arrivals from North America. It also reinforces Bangkok’s reputation as a leading tourism hub and gateway to diverse destinations across Thailand.” The United States remains one of Thailand’s most promising long-haul markets, distinguished by strong spending power and high-value travel demand. As of Friday, 24th October, Thailand has already welcomed 808,288 American visitors representing a five percent increase compared with the same period last year. This places the US among the country’s top ten source markets, more so now as arrivals are expected to continue rising through the final quarter. Current projections show that the number of American visitors could reach 1.09 million by year-end, generating an estimated 62 billion Baht in tourism revenue.

Fincantieri Delivers Mein Schiff Relax to TUI Cruises
The German cruise market is set to enjoy a significant boost as Fincantieri proudly delivers the new Mein Schiff Relax to TUI Cruises. Handed over on a momentous Friday in Monfalcone, this state-of-the-art vessel marks the beginning of a new era for the German brand. The ship is the largest and the first to operate on LNG (Liquid Natural Gas). The Mein Schiff Relax is the first of two InTUltion class new concept cruise ships. It is designed to be dual-fuel powered and operate efficiently on both LNG and Marine Gas Oil. This cutting-edge ship, boasting an impressive 161,000 gross tons, exemplifies innovation with its readiness to transition to alternative fuels like bio- or e-LNG as they become available in the market. The journey to this milestone began in July 2018, when TUI Cruises placed an order with Fincantieri. Fast-forward to June 2022, when the steel cutting commenced, leading to the vessel being floated out in November 2023. The ship embarked on its first sea trials in October 2024, where its performance and manoeuvrability were tested. By December, it received its first LNG load and successfully completed sea trials operating on LNG by the end of the month. Mein Schiff Relax is now the second LNG-fuelled cruise ship delivered by Fincantieri. This remarkable vessel, 326 meters long, features 1,945 passenger cabins and can accommodate 3,984 passengers and 1,535 crew members. It offers unparalleled innovations for relaxation, with 14 restaurants, including a new Asian restaurant, redefined spa and wellness areas, and the cruise line’s first two-deck “freedom suites.” Additionally, it introduces various cabin options for solo travellers. Mein Schiff Relax has modern sustainable technologies, including catalytic converters meeting Euro 6 standards, a generative turbine utilising residual heat from diesel generators, and a highly efficient waste treatment system. It also features a shore power connection for ports, further cementing its commitment to environmental responsibility. Set to enter service in March 2025, the Mein Schiff Relax will sail around the Canary Islands for the first year before relocating to Germany in mid-2026. To celebrate its christening on 9 April 2025 in Malaga, TUI Cruises has planned an innovative ceremony where the new ship will join fleet mates Mein Schiff 5 and Mein Schiff 7. The event will feature a celebrity performance, a gala dinner, and special culinary dishes, ensuring a grand inauguration. TUI Cruises continues its rapid growth with the introduction of Mein Schiff 7 in June 2024 and is set to welcome Mein Schiff Flow in August 2026. As Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises, puts it, “With the Mein Schiff Relax, we are now opening a whole new chapter in the field of premium cruises.” This new chapter not only exemplifies luxury and innovation but also showcases a commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
New Zealand relaxes visa requirements for digital nomads
Immigration New Zealand announced that it has relaxed visa requirements specifically for digital nomads in a bid to boost inbound tourism. The measure specifically targets individuals who travel whilst working remotely. Thanks to these relaxed regulations, digital nomads can continue to work remotely for offshore employers even while they’re on holiday in New Zealand. Digital nomads can stay in the country for up to 90 days, but will be required to pay a resident’s tax should they opt to extend their stay. New Zealand is the latest among several nations, including Japan and South Korea, that introduced modified visa programmes for digital nomads since international routes reopened following the pandemic. Such visas appeal to individuals who wish to travel whilst working remotely. A necessary measure New Zealand immigration minister Erica Stanford said: "We welcome visitors of all types to New Zealand and in this particular announcement, those who are able to work as digital nomads here on our shores.” She added that the change will enable many visitors to extend their stays, which will lead to more money being spent in the country. The measure is expected to augment the tourism sector’s contribution to the national economy and speed up its post-pandemic recovery. Immigration officials likewise pointed out that relevant changes apply to all visitor visas, including tourists and those visiting family, partners and guardians on longer-term visas. It should be noted, however, that only remote work based overseas is allowed under the modified regulations. Travellers whose employment requires them to be resident in the country full-time are still required to obtain specific visas.
Discover the relaxing escapes to İstanbul’s Princes’ Islands
PERSONEL ÇEKİMLERİ The Princes’ Islands, one of the hidden gems of İstanbul, offer the most delightful activities in October. While autumn starts showing its brown colours in the vibrant metropolis, the warm and sunny weather makes this month the perfect time to explore the serene archipelago off the Asian side. Whether looking for a peaceful retreat or a day of exploration, İstanbul’s islands provide an idyllic escape, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Inside but out in İstanbul The Princes’ Islands take their name from the Eastern Roman period when dynasty members like princes were sent into exile here. Today, the island group is a perfect getaway with lush landscapes and architectural marvels, such as enchanting mansions and stunning churches, providing an insight into a multicultural society in the city. Further, only the municipality’s electric vehicles on traffic-free streets enhance their appeal to locals and tourists. The archipelago includes nine beautiful islands; however, Büyükada, Heybeliada, Burgazada and Kınalıada are the most visited ones. A leisurely ferry ride from both sides of the city, soaking in the stunning views of the Bosphorus, starts your journey to the islands. Then, exploring these hidden paradises in the middle of the Marmara Sea is simple: Stroll through the charming streets or rent a bike. Admire the picturesque houses, architectural marvels, stunning greenery, and sea views. Savour the local delicacies from Turkish cuisine, including seasonal fresh fish and mezes (appetisers), with rakı or regional wines at the restaurants on the coasts. Büyükada: The biggest island in the Archipelago Büyükada, meaning “large island” in Turkish, is the largest of the Princes’ Islands. Although it’s very close to İstanbul, Büyükada feels worlds apart in terms of atmosphere. The island’s iconic Clock Tower greets you when you get off the ferry. Rent a bike at once and hit the streets filled with the scent of bougainvillaeas and enchanting mansions. You should visit the Aya Yorgi Church on Yücetepe, the highest hill of Büyükada, which requires climbing a steep slope to witness the best sunset. Other attractions on the island include the Museum of the Princes’ Island, the residence of Turkish author Reşat Nuri Güntekin, and Adakule, which serves as the island’s fire tower. Furthermore, following the recent restorations, many historic buildings have started serving as cultural and artistic venues in Büyükada, hosting various delightful events. Heybeliada: The Greenest Island The second largest and the greenest island in İstanbul, Heybeliada is named after its appearance resembling a saddlebag. The island is one of the best examples of a diverse community living in peace and harmony in İstanbul. As such, Aya Yorgi Cliff Monastery, Bet Yaakov Synagogue, and Aya Nikola Church are the must-see structures on the island. For Istanbulites, Heybeliada has long been a place of escape, with a chance to sit under the shade of giant trees, gather with friends at a historic meyhane (local tavern), savour rare fish appetisers with age-old recipes, and admire stunning houses while enjoying ice cream. In addition to a sense of nostalgia and tranquillity, Heybeliada’s natural beauty is of great appeal. The best place to examine the island’s nature is, hands down, Değirmenburnu Nature Park. Burgazada: Serene Oasis of Archipelago Burgazada, the third largest of Prince’s Islands, is perhaps the most peaceful in the archipelago. The island welcomes visitors with impressive mansions, monasteries and scenic beauty. Unlike other islands, Burgazada has just one hill. Bayrak Tepe and the ruins of Hristos Monastery on this hill should be your first stop on the island. Then, you can visit the house of Sait Faik Abasıyanık, one of the essential figures in Turkish literature, which has been transformed into a museum. Other important structures on the island are the Aya Yani Church and the Aya Yorgi Garibi Monastery. Kınalıada: Closest, Reddish Island As the closest island to İstanbul, Kınalıada is the ideal quick getaway for an easy and quiet vacation. The island takes its name, referring to henna in Turkish, from its reddish soil. You can easily explore the island, visiting must-see attractions like Surp Krikor Lusavoric Church, as it only takes half an hour, even from the furthest point. However, the island’s charm lies in its small details—like the quaint bookstores, cosy cafes, and the picturesque seaside promenade perfect for a sunset walk. Don’t miss the chance to visit the local pastry shop for unique island delicacies or take a stroll to discover tiny artisan shops selling handcrafted memorabilia.
LAWA, URW and Delta Air Lines celebrate local, minority-owned business participation milestone at LAX Terminal
Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), in partnership with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Airports and Delta Air Lines, celebrated the local and minority businesses powering the latest dining and retail offering at the new Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) including local brands Alfred, Fat Sal’s, Homeboy, Native by Nyesha, and Yakumi. The milestone reflects LAWA and URW’s commitment to diverse, inclusive airport concessions and raises the bar on local, minority-, and female-owned business participation at LAX by including 22 minority business owners who are working together to deliver the best guest experience for Delta’s customers. The new program is expected to achieve Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) participation of 43 percent for food and beverage and 36 percent for retail, outperforming the 25 percent and 20 percent project goals. “We’re excited to offer LAX guests a range of unique, locally-inspired experiences, while supporting the growth of remarkable businesses,” said Karim Webb, President, Board of Airport Commissioners. “Today’s celebration is a testament to the power of diversity, inclusion and community engagement. These efforts are proof that our partnerships with URW and Delta Air Lines are not just about enhancing the travel experience, but prioritizing and championing local and minority-owned businesses that reflect and showcase the best of Los Angeles.” “As the international gateway to Southern California, LAX should reflect the vibrant diversity of Los Angeles, and this includes the dining and retail offerings available to our guests,” said John Ackerman, Chief Executive Officer, LAWA. “Los Angeles World Airports is thrilled to celebrate the inclusivity showcased in Terminal 3 at LAX, and proud that this vision was realized by Angelenos and community members for everyone who travels through our airport.” “Together, we're creating an industry-leading guest experience and lowering the barriers to entry for small, local, and disadvantaged businesses,” said Dominic Lowe, U.S. Chief Operating Officer, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. “Our partnership with Los Angeles World Airports and our concessions partners is creating economic opportunities for our communities, and we look forward to continuing to collaborate and innovate for an even more inclusive and world-class LAX concessions program.” The new concessions include a mix of local favorites, celebrity-owned restaurants, the latest in travel essentials, unique gifts, and a selection of airport firsts. “Across Delta's operation, we are committed to ensuring suppliers reflect the communities we serve and uplifting small business owners,” said Scott Santoro, Vice President Los Angeles and Sales West, Delta Air Lines. “With the completion of Terminal 3's new concessions program, customers can experience Los Angeles’ diverse and vibrant culinary scene while embarking on a premium travel journey. We appreciate our partners at LAWA and URW Airports for their continued partnership as we innovate toward the next era of travel at LAX.” “Today's celebration of LAX Terminal 3's new dining and retail offerings is a testament to LAWA’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment,” said Eboni Wimbush, President and CEO, Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC). “By partnering with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and Delta Air Lines, LAWA not only elevated the passenger experience but also empowered local and minority-owned businesses, many of whom are AMAC members. With 22 minority business owners contributing to this dynamic new space, we’re proud of LAX exceeding its ACDBE participation goals and setting a new standard for airport concessions nationwide.” “Our collaboration with local L.A. Top Chef star Nyesha Arrington to develop and operate Native by Nyesha brings two minority-owned firms together elevate the LAX guest experience,” said Daniel Halpern, President and CEO, Jackmont. “In partnership with LAWA and URW Airports, we’re creating a more equitable and welcoming experience that truly represents the heart of Los Angeles.” Jackmont Hospitality and SoCal Concessions brought rapper Ludacris’ popular Chicken + Beer to its first LAX location. Plus, they came together with Arrington to open Native by Nyesha, a go-to spot for fresh California-inspired cuisine at LAX. Native is the winner of the 2024 Airport Experience Award for Best Local Inspired Restaurant. “This project in partnership with Jackmont Hospitality, is a celebration of Los Angeles’ vibrant and diverse food culture, offering travelers a taste of the city’s rich culinary mosaic,” said Nyesha Arrington, Chef Partner, Native by Nyesha. “By elevating the work of diverse chefs and incorporating multicultural dishes, we not only foster local pride but also advance our partnership to ensure that LAX reflects the voices, flavors, and traditions of all Angelenos, while supporting local businesses and underrepresented communities.” Local, 100% minority-owned operator Concord Collective is behind the first airport outpost of beloved local beverage purveyor Alfred, serving innovative coffee and tea drinks embodying the L.A. lifestyle. “LAX's new Terminal 3 is a shining example of what's possible when innovation meets inclusivity,” said Greg Plummer, Chief Executive Officer, Concord Collective. “We are extremely proud to partner with LAWA, URW Airports and Delta Air Lines to bring Alfred Coffee’s unique brand to the all-new program. This collaboration showcases our dedication and proves what is possible when we work together to create opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses to elevate the traveler journey and deliver a truly LA experience.” Local woman-owned Fly Away Foods makes its airport debut with the opening of Jamba, a global leader serving on-the-go freshly blended smoothies, bowls and freshly squeezed juices. “Providing opportunities and encouraging everyone to compete and shine is the heart of the American spirit that is admired throughout the world,” said Ajay Maini, Chief Operating Officer, Fly Away Foods. “Our partners at LAWA and URW Airports truly believe in this principle and offer small business enterprises like us, a true opportunity to rise, grow and succeed. By being inclusive, encouraging and including local businesses in the process and opportunities, we have highly benefited as an organization, and are uplifting and empowering our entire workforce family,” Crews Companies, a local and minority-owned concessionaire, recently opened the one-of-a-kind Pizza Please, a ghost kitchen concept delivering pizzas through an innovative locker platform, plus CAVA with its flavor-packed Mediterranean menu comprised of curated bowls, pitas, salads, dips, drinks, and more. Crews is also behind local favorite Fat Sal’s, offering oversized sandwiches, loaded fries, and other comfort food classics and Yakumi, a fast-casual sushi hot spot. “As a LA-based minority-owned company with deep roots in the city, we’re thrilled to contribute to LAX’s vibrant atmosphere and provide guests with a memorable culinary journey,” said Nicholas Crews, CEO/Managing Partner, Crews Companies. “Our long-term partnership with URW Airports, LAWA, and Delta Air Lines aligns perfectly with LAWA's steadfast commitment to inclusivity and supporting local businesses. Our innovative dining hall concept in Terminal 3 showcases a unique blend of local and diverse culinary offerings. By bringing together four beloved brands – Cava, Fat Sal’s, Yakumi, and Pizza Please – in two spaces, we’re providing guests with an exceptional dining experience.” Areas and its minority partners are behind mission-based bakery Homeboy offering fresh handmade sandwiches and baked goods along with newly opened Starbucks. Hudson along with its minority partners delivered the innovative Hudson Nonstop offering the latest in travel essentials and Evolve by Hudson which includes a curated offering of unique gifts. Guests can also pick up consumer electronic products and accessories at InMotion and a variety of local products and travel essentials at A/K Boulevard courtesy of Marshall Retail Group and its minority partners. The terminal is also home to 100% woman-owned Gameway, the premier video gaming entertainment lounge offering personal gaming stations and a retro-gaming bar providing a place to relax, eat and drink. The new restaurant and retail concessions are part of LAWA and Delta’s $2.3 billion-dollar modernization project to consolidate Terminals 2 and 3. The 1.2-million-square-foot, 27-gate complex provides an easy-to-navigate customer journey as well as airside connection to the Tom Bradley International Terminal.

The event is slated to be a spectacle that combines musical virtuosity, timeless melodies, and state-of-the-art audio technology. Domingo’s powerful tenor will be enhanced by the accompaniment of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, one of China's most celebrated symphony orchestras, and trailblazing Italian conductor Beatrice Venezi, principal conductor of the Orchestra Milano Classica and the Orchestra Scarlatti Young in Naples. LAX receives final cars for Automated People Mover Train
The final 4 Automated People Mover (APM) train cars arrived at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), bringing the total number on site to 44. The first cars arrived in summer 2022 and the remaining cars have since been steadily making the cross-country journey from the manufacturer in Pittsburgh, PA. The new cars will join the rest of the fleet in testing on the APM’s elevated guideway, as the design-build team at LAX Integrated Express Solutions (LINXS) continues progress toward the project completion date of December 8, 2025. “Receiving the final train cars for the APM signifies a major milestone for this project and our airport’s transformation,” said John Ackerman, CEO of Los Angeles World Airports. “The APM will enhance the travel experience at LAX and set a new standard for sustainable transportation. As we move this project forward, we remain dedicated to delivering a state-of-the-art solution that reflects our commitment to our passengers, community and environment.” LAX will be the first U.S. airport to use the INNOVIA 300 APM cars, which include a variety of sustainable features such as fully recyclable state-of-the-art aluminum shells, a regenerative braking system, and a design to eliminate hazardous substances and toxic emissions. The APM project is committed to environmental consciousness, with the train system already earning an Envision Gold Award for Sustainable Infrastructure from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI). Additionally, the APM Maintenance and Storage Facility is designed to meet the LEED Gold Standard set by the U.S. Green Building Council, with almost half of the facility’s power being produced from a photovoltaic generation system. Last week, following approval by the Board of Airport Commissioners on July 18, the Los Angeles City Council approved an agreement that sets the construction completion date to December 8, 2025 and provides LINXS with an additional $550 million, primarily to cover added work previously completed and a longer than anticipated construction timeline. “The arrival of all the APM vehicles in Los Angeles marks the beginning of the next phase of this enormous project,” said Shawn West, LINXS Constructors Board Member. “Our focus now shifts from the construction of the APM’s physical structures to an extensive testing process with each and every vehicle.” The APM train is expected to begin 24/7 service for LAX guests and employees in January 2026, with trains arriving at stations every 2 minutes during peak hours (9 a.m. to 11 p.m.)
