DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Ku’damm to open next month

Hilton has announced a franchise agreement with Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, and Event Hotels to open DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Ku’damm. The hotel is set to become the first DoubleTree by Hilton in Berlin, following an extensive multi-million euro remodelling. The 420-guest room property will open later this month as the sixth property in the German capital for the hotel group, which according to recent independent research is the best-known hotel brand in Germany. The signing follows other recent conversions in key markets under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, including DoubleTree by Hilton Hannover Schweizerhof, DoubleTree by Hilton Frankfurt Niederrad and DoubleTree Vienna Schonbrunn, a debut for the brand in Austria. Simon Vincent, executive vice president and president, EMEA, Hilton, said, “With more than 55 properties either trading or in the pipeline, Germany continues to be a key strategic growth market for Hilton, and we are delighted to be expanding our portfolio in the capital alongside our long-term partners, Blackstone.
